Bhagavad Geeta & Mahabharata Championship 2025

The Bhagavad Geeta and Mahabharata Championship 2025, which will take place on 28th June 2025 at Geeta Ashram Malaysia. This competition offers a wonderful opportunity for participants to showcase their knowledge and recitation of the Bhagavad Geeta as well as their understanding of the Mahabharata in a quiz format.
In addition to inviting you, as participants, we would also like to extend a special invitation to your teachers, gurus, and spiritual guides to participate as judges in the competition. We believe their involvement will promote fair and impartial judging, ensuring that the competition is conducted in the spirit of learning and bipartisanship. This will also allow the opportunity for teachers to further engage with the participants, fostering unity and collaboration among organizations.
Event Overview
Bhagavad Geeta Competition: Open to participants aged 5-30 years, divided into specific age groups. The competition focuses on pronunciation, memorization, understanding, and presentation.
Mahabharata Competition: A quiz-style competition open to participants aged 13 and above, competing in teams of 2-5 members. The quiz will test participants’ comprehensive knowledge of the Mahabharata.
Mahabharata Competition
Eligibility: Participants aged 13 and above
Format: Quiz-style, with teams consisting of 2 to 5 members
Awards: First and second place prizes will be awarded to the top two teams

Reference Book for Mahabharata Competition

To ensure fairness and consistency for all participants, we would like to clarify that all questions for the Mahabharata competition will be strictly based on the context and content of a specific reference book provided by the organizers.
We acknowledge that there are many versions and interpretations of the Mahabharata across different traditions, languages, and publications. However, to avoid confusion and maintain a uniform standard for judging, only the material from the designated reference PDF will be considered valid for this competition.

Judging Criteria
Bhagavad Geeta Competition: Judging will be based on pronunciation, memorization, understanding, and presentation. The difficulty level varies according to the participant’s age group.
Mahabharata Competition: The quiz format will test participants’ understanding of the Mahabharata, with teams competing against each other. The team with the highest number of correct answers will win.
Awards
Bhagavad Geeta Competition:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for each age category
Consolation prizes:
Ages 5-12: 5 consolation prizes
Ages 13-30: 3 consolation prizes
All Participants: Each participant will receive a certificate of participation.
Volunteer Opportunities
We welcome volunteers who are eager to assist with various roles during the event, such as event setup, registration, and coordination. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us for more information.

Dress Code
Participants are required to wear a traditional white top or their organization’s T-shirt. Traditional attire is mandatory for others. Jeans and long pants are permitted, but shorts, sleeveless tops, and see-through clothing are strictly not allowed.
What to Bring
Participants should bring their own Bhagavad Geeta, stationary, Identity Card, and speeches (where applicable). Please bring a soft copy/hard copy of the e-ticket provided via email during checkout. Failure to bring will result in non-participation.
Parking and Transportation
Parking is available at the venue, with additional parking nearby at the Astana Field. The venue is also a short 7-minute walk from Asia Jaya LRT station. We encourage participants to use Grab for convenience.
Onlookers
Each participant is allowed to bring a maximum of two onlookers, who must also be registered for safety purposes.
Pay-It-Forward Campaign
We are pleased to offer a Pay-It-Forward Campaign, where individuals can sponsor a child’s participation in the competition. Any surplus funds from this campaign will go into our Charity Fund, which supports future community initiatives.
