Hanuman Jayanti

Hanuman Jayanti is an auspicious Hindu festival commemorating the birth of Lord Hanuman, the divine monkey deity revered as the supreme embodiment of devotion (bhakti), strength, and selfless service.
The primary celebration occurs on the full moon day (Purnima) of the lunar month of Chaitra.
The festival honours Hanuman’s role as the loyal companion of Lord Rama in the epic Ramayana, where he performed heroic feats like leaping across the ocean and carrying an entire mountain to save Lakshmana.

Devotees celebrate this day by:
Visiting temples to offer sindoor (vermilion), oil, and sweets like laddoos.
Reciting the Hanuman Chalisa, a sacred 40-verse hymn praising his virtues.
Observing strict fasts and maintaining spiritual discipline to seek protection from evil spirits and negative energies.
Organising vibrant processions and community feasts that reflect the spirit of unity and devotion.
